The Center Ice of DuPage Adult Hockey Rec League is designed for players with limited hockey playing experience. As a Recreational League, participants register as individuals and the League Director will create balanced teams each week. This creates a fun, social atmosphere where competition is balanced and you’ll regularly play with new teammates.

The Center Ice of DuPage Adult Hockey Rec League is designed for players with limited hockey playing experience. This creates a fun, social atmosphere where competition is balanced and you’ll regularly play with new teammates.

Free Agent Players may register as Individuals to be placed on a team. There is no payment required to register as a Free Agent Player.
Once assigned to a Team, the Free Agent Player will be subject to the League Payment requirements set by that Team’s Captain.

Foundry Adult Hockey is open to adults 18+. Get In The Game combines on-ice skills sessions with game-situation practice drills. Participants will learn all of the fundamental skills of ice hockey, including how to skate if they’ve never done so before, in a fun and supportive setting.

Register for Youth Recreational Hockey. This program is ideal for all players, from Learn to Play to Travel, who are craving more game time. Players are asked to bring a reversible or light and dark jersey to each session.

Stick & Puck sessions are an opportunity for hockey players of all ages to practice their skating and stick handling skills. These are non-competitive sessions and scrimmaging is not permitted. Players under 18 years of age must wear full protective hockey equipment.

Rat Hockey sessions are available for hockey players aged 18+ to get out on the ice for an informal pick-up game. Participants should arrive early as only 30 players and 4 goalies are admitted per session.

​Center Ice of DuPage hockey programs are designed around the guidelines of USA Hockey’s ADM model, which creates a fun, relaxed learning environment for participants to learn the fundamental skills of ice hockey. The non-competitive and positive atmosphere makes a child’s first experience with hockey positive, and creates an environment in which they can excel.

We believe that if a player’s introduction to the sport is positive, they will develop a lifetime love of the game. First-time Black Bear Prep registrants also qualify for a free Hockey Gear Starter Kit!
